Hello, World

I tried to think of what the first thing would be I'd want to say if I ever started a blog..I'd want it to be humorous, uplifting, meaningful, or maybe something that inspired. Something that shouts "Hello, World" and the world sits up to pay attention.
This may be none of those things.
I'm just winging it (as a Distressed Nest would do, of course) just randomly starting a blog one boring night, hoping to inspire someone and be witty and give wings to my voice, my words..

So, if you're out there, world, hello.
My name is Courtney Lyman. I'm a wife, mother of two beautiful girls, and a child of the King.
My youngest daughter and I have a vintage lover's page on Facebook called (you guessed it) Distressed Nest.
At this writing we have almost 40, 000 wonderful community members that have liked the page, and are reaching an average of a half-million to four million people per week. It's been a lot of fun meeting people from all over the world. Our posts have been shared by thousands, including some of the biggest bloggers and pages in the vintage, home & garden, and inspirational world.
Absolutely.Amazing.
The page was started as a creative outlet to heal from a very painful time (future blog post) and has been a catalyst for rising from the dust.

 We get messages of thanks and an outpouring of love daily from people who enjoy the page, have found some peace or joy there, some have became friends.
